The FIS Freestyle Ski, Snowboard and Freeski Bakuriani 2023 World Championship held in Bakuriani from 19 February to 4 March. The organization of each competition and the quality of the infrastructure received high grade from foreign experts. 7 disciplines of ski and snowboard were successfully held on Didveli and Kokhta Gora slopes.
On 19 February first competition day of FIS Freestyle Ski, Snowboard and Freeski Bakuriani 2023 World Championship race despite the windy weather was successfully held at the Didveli slope.
The competition went smoothly and tingly.100 athletes from 18 countries took part in the competition in The Parallel Giant Slalom discipline.
The Bakuriani 2023 World Championship winner among women became Japanese Tsubaki Miki, the second place was taken by Austrian Daniela Ulbing and the third place took Polish Aleksandra krol.
Between men World Champion became Polish Oskar Kwiatowski, the silver medal holder Dario Kaviezel from Switzerland and the bronze medal went to Alexsander Payer.
Georgian athlete Revaz Nazgaidze participated in the qualification, where he took 39th place, which means that, unfortunately, he could not get into the final, although he can still prove himself in parallel slalom on February 21th.
The Aerials Team race was held at the Kokhta Gora slope. The fling skiers from10 countries showed us a beautiful show.
The Bakuriani 2023 World Championship winner became USA team, the silver medal holder became China team and the bronze medal went to the team from Ukraine.
21 February – World Championship Parallel Slalom of Snowboard race was held in Bakuriani on Didveli slope. 100 athletes from 18 countries took part in the competition in The Parallel Slalom discipline.
The Bakuriani 2023 World Championship winner of Snowboard Parallel Slalom among women became Julie Zogg from Swirzeland , the second place took also Swiss – Ladina Jenny and the third was Austrian Sabine Shoeffmann.
Between men first and second places took Austrians – Andreas Prommegger and Arvid Auner, third was Amaud Gaudet from Canada.
Georgian athlete Revaz Nazgaidze went out unfortunately, he could not get into the final. Today also the first training of Ski Cross and Slopestyle was on Didveli slope, about 200 hundred skiers participated in the training, between them were Georgian athletes: Davit Tediashvili, Beka Berzenishvili, Lasha Kurtanidze, Nika Eloshvili and Luka Chophikashvili.
22 Ferbruary – World Championship Parallel Slalom Team of Snowboard race was in Bakuriani on Didveli slope. 48 athletes from 13 countries took part in the competition in The Parallel Slalom discipline. Despite the strong wind the competition held successfully.
The World Champion became Italy, silver medal owner is Austria And the bronze gained Switzerland team.
The trainings of Ski Cross and Slopestyle was on Didveli slope, about 200 hundred skiers participated in the training, between them were Georgian athletes: Davit Tediashvili, Beka Berzenishvili, Lasha Kurtanidze, Nika Eloshvili and Luka Chophikashvili.
Aerials race has been postponed for the next day due too extreme winds.
Athletes of Moguls were training at Kokhta Gora slope.
On February 23th – The World Champion Aerials qualification and finals were held at the Kokhta Gora slope. The fling skiers from 10 countries showed us a beautiful show.
Between women first three places took: Fanyu Kong from China, Australian Danielle Scott and Anastasiya Novosad from Ukraine.
Among men won Swiss Noe Roth, second and third places took: Quinn Dehlinger from USA and Longxiao Yang from China.
Jury decision: due to bad weather conditions today World Championship Ski Cross qualification was canceled in Bakuriani on Didveli slope, new program will be announced at the team captain meeting.
Also the trainings of Slopestyles were on Didveli slope, about 200 hundred skiers participated in the training, between them were Georgian athletes: Nika Eloshvili and Luka Chophikashvili.
Athletes of Moguls were training at Kokhta Gora slope too.
On 24 February – sunny day was in Bakuriani. 2023 World Championship Ski Cross qualification race was in Bakuriani on Didveli slope. 61 athletes from 14 countries took part in the qualification. Three leaders were revealed from the qualification:
Women: 1.-Marielle Thomson from Canada 2.-Sandra Naeslund from Sweden 3. – German Daniela Maier.
Men: 1.- Saotoshi Furuno from Japan 2.- David Mobaerg from Sweden 3.- Canadian Jared Schmid.
Member of Georgian team: Davit Tediashvili took 32th place and he will participate in the final races tomorrow. We congratulate him. 37th and 38th were Lasha Kurtanidze and Beka Berdzenishvili. Unfortunately, they not get into the final race.
Same day 2023 World Championships Snowboard Slopestyle qualification was held on Didveli slope, 54 Snowboarders from 18 countries participated in the race. Three leaders were revealed from the qualification: – 1. – Satoshi Furuno frm Japan 2. – David Mobaerg from Sweden 3. – Canadian Jared Schmidt.
Athletes of Free ski Slopestyle and Moguls were training successfully at Didveli and Kokhta Gora slope today too.
On 25 February in Bakuriani the Moguls final race was held on the Kokhta Gora hill.
The World Champion became between women French Perrine Laffont, the silver and bronze medals owners are: Jaelin Kauf from USA and Austrian Avital Carroll.
Among men won Mikael Kingsburg from Canada, second and third places took: Australian Matt Graham and Walter Wallberg from Sweden.
Due to strong wind on Didveli slope, Ski Cross finals and Free Ski Slopestyle qualification canceled.
On February 26 th – World Championship Ski Cross finals was held at Didveli slope from morning.
Between women first three places took: 1. Sandra Naeslund from Sweden. 2. Katrin Ofner from Austria. 3. Fanny Smith from Switzerland.
Among men won Italian Simone Deromedis, second and third places took: Florian Wilmann from Germany and Erik Mobaerg from Sweden.
Unfortunately Davit Tediashvili went out.
Due to strong wind on Didveli slope in the morning, Women Free Ski and Snowboard Slopestyle qualification postponed for the next day.
The Team Ski Cross was held in the afternoon too. The 2023 World Champion became Sweden team, silver and bronze medals owners are Canada and Italy teams.
Also 2023 World Championships Free Ski Slopestyle qualification was held on Didveli slope. among men, 68 skiers from 15 countries participated in the race, between them were Georgians Nika Eloshvili and Luka Chopikashvili. Three leaders were revealed from the qualification to the final race. Nika and Luka took 36th and 37th places. Unfortunately they couldn`t get to the final.
The Moguls final race was held on the Kokhta Gora hill same day too.

27 February – The Freeski and Snowboard Slope styles qualifications race were held on Didveli slope in the morning. The 3-3 leaders were identified from the Qualifications.
2023 World Championship Snowboard women and men finals were held at Didveli slope In the afternoon.
Between women first three places took: 1. 16 years old Mia Brookes from GBR 2. Zoi Sadowski Synnott from NZL 3. Miayabi Onitsuka from Japan.
Among men won Marcus Kleveland, second and third places took: Ryoma Kimata from Japan and American Chris Corning.
On 28 February Sunny day was in Bakuriani. About 200 Athletes of Snowboard Cross, Free ski and Snowboard Halfpipe were training on Didveli slope early in the morning.
2023 World Championship Free ski Slopestyle finals race were held on Didveli slope in the afternoon.
Between women the World Champion became Swiss Mathilde Gremaud, silver and bronze medals owners are Canadian Megan Oldham and Joahanne Killi from Norway.
Among men won Norwegian Birk Ruud, second and third places took: Christian Nummedal from Norway too and Andri Ragettli from Switzerland.
1st of March 2023 World Championship Snowboard Cross finals race were held on Didveli slope.
Between women the World Champion became Eva Adamczykova from CZE, silver and bronze medals owners are Australian Josie Baff and Lindsey Jacobellis from USA.
Among men won Jakob Dusek, second and third places took: German Martin Noerl and Italian Omar Visintin.
The qualifications of Free ski and Snowboard Halfpipe were on Didveli slope today too. 70 skiers and snowboarders from different countries participated in the races. 3-3 leaders were revealed from the qualification to the final races.
Also same day the athletes, between them were Georgians Nika Eloshvili and Luka Chopikashvili, of Big Air were training on Didveli slope.
On March 2th 2023 World Championship Mixed Snowboard Cross Team final race was on Didveli slope, despite the bad weather the race was held successfully.
The World Champion became Great Britain, silver and bronze medals owners are Austria and France.
On 3 March – the World Championship Snowboard Halfpipe finals were held On Didveli slope. The world champion among women became Xuetong Cai, second and third places took: Canadian Elizabeth Hosking and Mitsuki Ono from Japan.
Between men won Chaeun Lee from Korea, silver and bronze medals owners are: Australian Valentino Guseli and Swiss Jan Scherrer. .
2023 World Championships Free Ski Big Air qualification was held on Didveli slope too.
65 skiers from 20 countries participated in the race, between them was Georgian Nika Eloshvili. Nika took 34th place. Unfortunately, he couldn`t get to the final. Luka Chopikashvili couldn`t participated today, because he became ill.
Three leaders were revealed from the qualification to the final race.
On March 4th – Due to bad weather on 5 March, the finals replaced on 4 March.
2023 World Championship three finals: Free Ski Halfpipe, Free ski and Snowboard Big Airs were held on Didveli slope.
Between women the Free Ski Halfpipe World Champion became American Hanna Faulhaber, silver and bronze medals owners are: Zoe Atkin from GBR and Canadian Rachael Karker.
Among men won Canadian Brenden Mackay, second and third places took: Jon Sallinen from Finland and Alex Ferreira from USA.
The Women`s Snowboard Big Air final finish ended like this: 1. Austrian Anna Gasser 2. Miyabi Onitsuka from Japan 3. Australian Tess Coady.
Men`s final: 1. Talga Hasegava from japan. 2. Mons Roisland from Norway 3. Nicolas Huber from Switzerland.
The Free Ski Big Air between women 2023 World Champion became French Tess Ledeux, second and third places took Sandra Ele from Norway and Canadian Megan Oldham.
Among men won Troy Podmilsak from USA, second and third places took Austrian Lukas Muellauer and Birk Ruud from Norway.
