The World Universiade is underway in Turin, Italy. Today, the final ski cross competition was held in the resort of Bardonecchia, where members of the Georgian national team: Lasha Kurtanidze and Beka Berdzenishvili competed.

After qualification, Lasha was on third and Beka on ninth place. With this result, Lasha earned the right to compete in the final race and in the end he took eighth place.

Lasha Kurtanidze: -,,We had a chance to win a medal and this result is a bit disappointing. I made mistakes during the descent, ski cross is a sport that requires justification for an athlete to achieve success. After qualification, I was on third place and in the end I took eighth place.“
