On February 18, the first race of the 2024 Alpine Skiing Georgian Region Cup – Slalom was held successfully at Goderdze Pass.

National teams of Ajara, Gudauri, Tbilisi, Bakuriani and Mestia were participate in the competition.

Alpine skiers from different regions of Georgia were compete in three age groups:

Children I, years of birth 2010-2011

Girls:

  1. Kato Tsirekidze – Gudauri
  2. Keti Vezdeni – Svaneti
  3. Mari Givradze – Ajara

Boys:

  1. Kakha Goshteliani – Svaneti
  2. Giorgi Nazgaidze – Gudauri
  3. Andria Burduli – Gudauri

Children II, years of birth 2008-2009

Girls:

  1. Nino Georqovi – Bakuriani
  2. Elza Chogadze – Ajara
  3. Lana Geladze – Ajara

Boys:

  1. Irakli Khergiani – Svaneti
  2. Giorgi Japharidze – Svaneti
  3. Irakli Abesadze – Bakuriani

Adults and Juniors, born in 2007 and older.

Girls:

  1. Nata Mekheshidze – Ajara
  2. Mari Chogadze – Ajara
  3. Zeinabi Chogadze – Ajara

Boys:

  1. Nikoloz Gogoladze – Bakuriani
  2. Goga Guledani – Svaneti
  3. Oto Khvedelidze – Bakuriani

Adjara Ski Federation and Adjara Sports Department were the first to host the stage of the Georgian Regional Mountain Ski Cup in slalom and giant slalom. Due to their very good organization and great efforts, despite the bad weather, the competition was successfully held. The Georgian Regional Cup was held under the auspices of the Georgian Ski Federation and in partnership with the Mountain Tracks Agency. ,,Silknet“ Company is the general sponsor of the Georgian Ski Federation. Media partner of the Georgian Cup is “Euro News Georgia”.

This is how the first stage of the Georgian Cup ended. The Georgian Alpine skiing championship will be held in April in Gudauri.
