Today, the women’s slalom of the Alpine Skiing World Championships was held in the famous Austrian resort of Saalbach. Nino Tsiklauri was in 33rd place after the first run, but in the end the race she took 28th place. This result is the best in Nino’s career.

Nino Tsiklauri: “First of all, I am very happy with this result, it is the best result in my career and I still can’t understand how I managed to do this. I have not been able to overcome an injury for the last two years, I have difficulty training. My knee still hurts, I was not really ready physically. Added to this was the fact that it was a very long and difficult slope, but I was able to overcome all this psychologically and I am very happy. Unfortunately, my leg was very strained in the giant slalom, I literally could not continue the slope and I stopped. I am now more confident in slalom and I hope this experience will help me even more in the next competitions. Thank you to the Federation of Georgia for standing by my side and supporting me!”

Congratulations to Nino on this success!

The 2025 World Champion became Camille Rast from Switzerland, the silver medal was also won by Wendy Holdener from Switzerland and the bronze medal was won by Katharina Liensberger from Austria.

Today the men’s slalom qualification was also held, unfortunately Nodar Kozanashvili, Levan Nazghaidze and Luka Buchukuri not finished. Tomorrow the men’s slalom will be held, where Luka Buchukuri will compete.

We wish Luka good luck!
