On January 8-11, the Azerbaijani resort of Shadag Mountain Resort will host the Azerbaijan Open Championship and FIS rating competitions.

On January 8, the slalom competition was held, where Georgian alpine skier Nino Tsiklauri won, Swiss Nikita Anner came in second place, and Uzbek Sabina Rejepova took third place.

Nino Tsiklauri:-,,This is my first time at this resort, the mountain was quite technical, which is how I like it.

I didn’t have a long preparation period for this winter, but I feel quite comfortable on slalom skis and this victory gives me confidence, which I am very pleased with.,,

Two slaloms are scheduled for January 9-10 and a giant slalom for January 11.
