From October 26 to November 15 the camp organized by the International Ski Federation (FIS) was held in the Austrian resort of Stubai. Every year, the International Federation organizes a training camp for young skiers, where athletes from different countries who are transitioning from childhood to junior age (16 years old) come. They undergo training on a glacier in Austria. According to FIS rules, one girl and one boy from a country can attend this camp.

The Georgian Ski Federation gave to Nino Georqovi and Nikoloz Lebanidze the opportunity to train in Austria. Nino and Nikoloz excelled at the Georgian Cup stages, won the 2025 cups and on this basis they will travel to glecier to train. Unfortunately, Nikoloz Lebanidze suffered a knee injury.

Nino Georqovi: -,,I was actively training every day in the mountains, we also had physical activities. I trained with children from other countries and we had Italian coaches.

I was very satisfied with this gathering, because I got a good experience, prepared for the winter season and made a lot of friends.

Nikoloz Lebanidze: -,,The time spent at FIS Camp was a truly special experience for me. Even though I got injured in the second week and had to leave the program early, I was still very impressed by the atmosphere of the camp, the organization and the people with whom I started my adventure. I especially remember the supportive environment. Both the mentors and the participants did everything to make me feel comfortable and safe.

This period was a source of learning, new friendships and experiences for me, the memories of which will always bring me positive emotions in the future. Despite the unforeseen circumstances, FIS Camp will remain one of the most enjoyable and valuable stages of my life. Many thanks to the Georgian Federation for giving me the opportunity to have this experience.”

We wish Nikoloz a speedy recovery and great success to both of you in the future!
