After successfully hosting World Cup and Europa Cup events in Bakuriani, Gudauri is hosting .

On March 20th Georgian Ski Federation held First stages of Georgian Championship in Alpine skiing , Slalom in particular.

Although the training session planned on 19th of March was canceled due to bad weather conditions, athletes had a chance to prepare for the competition before it took start on March 20th.

Up to 55 junior athletes from different regions of Georgia (Gudauri, Kazbegi, Svaneti, Bakuriani, Tbilisi, Adjara – 15 Girls, 40 ) participated in the competition. List of participants was divided in three age groups – 2000yy to 2009yy.

Second stage of Alpine Championship will take place in Gudauri on April 9-10. In addition, Gudauri will also host Freestyle Championship of Georgia in Slopestyle and Big Air.
